Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician. She began by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed music that tackled questions of racial identity as well as sexuality. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. In college, she concentrated on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. The focus changed to music only after she completed her degree. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The other viral hit songs included queef, a body positive song and the winking NYC Bitchecity tour. The latter track connected directly with another Awkwafina project NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. Alongside being a published author as well, she also worked singing. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she scored breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile movies like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released her first film In Fina We Trust.
